S.Ring HFS

Integrated Load Measurement for Geotechnical Anchor Heads.
For permanent or manual monitoring of anchor loads.
Double Corrosion Protection

The load cell is directly integrated into the anchor head and fully embedded in the corrosion protection system

Continuous Measurement

Measurement of preload and dynamic loads in real time.

Directly from the Manufacturer

You receive the system  directly from the anchor   manufacturer and save     time and effort in the           design process.

Standards-
Compliant

Meets the requirements of
ÖNORM B 4456:2021 and DIN EN 1537 as well as DIN 51308.

In modern geotechnical engineering, the monitoring of anchor systems is becoming increasingly important. Together with our partner ANP Systems, we have developed the S.Ring HFS (Head Force Sensor) for the permanent monitoring of bar and strand anchors.

The load cell is directly integrated into the anchor head and fully embedded within the corrosion protection system. In accordance with applicable standards, the anchor system is designed with double corrosion protection (DCP), including encapsulation and an additional plastic or steel sheathing.

The S.Ring HFS complies with the requirements of ÖNORM B 4456:2021, DIN EN 1537, and DIN 51308.

The S.Ring HFS can either be read out on site using a handheld device or permanently monitored via the “ANP Monitoring” cloud platform.

FAQ

What is the S.Ring HFS and what is it used for?

The S.Ring HFS is a standards-compliant measurement system for monitoring permanent geotechnical anchors. It fulfills all requirements for double corrosion protection without the need for additional measures.

From which anchor size is the S.Ring HFS available?

The standard versions are available for 4-strand, 7-strand, 9-strand, and 12-strand anchors. Larger versions (e.g., 22-strand) are available on request at short notice.

Is calibration available?

All S.Ring HFS units are factory-calibrated in accordance with DIN 51308:2019-08.

Can bar anchors also be monitored?

Yes, monitoring of bar anchors as well as large screws and other bolts is possible. Suitable adapter sets are available for bar anchors.

The S.Ring M was specifically developed for monitoring very large (>M72) bolted connections and is available on request.

Is the anchor head mechanically weakened?

No. The load capacity of the S.Ring HFS is significantly higher than the ultimate load capacity of the anchor.

Can the S.Ring HFS be retrofitted?

A complete retrofit package is available for already installed anchors. The existing anchor load is determined by means of a lift-off test.

I would like to monitor a structure with 1,500 geotechnical anchors. Does every anchor need to be equipped with an S.Ring HFS?

No.

The minimum number of anchors to be equipped with load monitoring depends on the consequence class of the structure.

For example, ÖNORM B 4456:2021-06-01 provides the following guideline values:

CC1: 5%

CC2: 10%

CC3: 15%

Please refer to the applicable standards and regulations in your region.

How is the system installed?

Installation is carried out in the same manner as for a standard anchor. ANP Equipment Services GmbH provides suitable tools upon request.

How is the S.Ring HFS connected?

Connection is made via an A-coded M12 industrial connector. Most commercially available load amplifiers can process the signals.

The measurement signal continues to increase after releasing the tensioning tool. What am I doing wrong?

The anchor has reached or exceeded its yield strength and is undergoing plastic deformation.
